On July 7, 2024, Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. and Formosa Plastics Group joined together to host Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the 2024 Texas-Asia Trade Mission Delegation when they visited Taiwan to open a new trade office. Both companies support the Governor’s leadership in enhancing economic development opportunities for Texas and Taiwan. Governor Abbott provided a flag flown over the state capitol and a proclamation to Formosa Plastics Group Chairman William Wong in recognition of the significant presence of Formosa Plastics Corporation, Texas and its continuing investments in Texas.
