On June 13, 2022, the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Department won two awards. The 2022 TCC/ACIT Excellence in Caring for Texas Award was given to EHS for promoting continuous improvement in the chemical industry in community awareness, emergency response, security, and pollution prevention. The Texas Chemical Council (TCC) program provides recognition for member facilities that, during the previous calendar year, have achieved exemplary results and demonstrated a strong commitment to their employees and their community.

The Distinguished Safety Service Award was presented to EHS for FPC TX meeting the Occupational Safety Committee participation requirements by attending at least three of the quarterly Occupational Safety Committee or Subcommittee meetings during the course of the year and demonstrating improvement in the injury and illness incident rate for 2021 when compared to the previous three years.
